An invention in use: CyLock, a step forward in door lock security

Having passed four months of examination by KIPO (the Korean Intellectual Property Office), iKnock™ stands out among the few Vietnamese inventions to gain international recognition. Over the past ten years Vietnam has averaged fewer than ten internationally recognised patents a year.

The greatest value of a lock is the safety it gives its owner. Older remote lock technologies using rolling codes have shown serious weaknesses, widely published on international security forums and in the Vietnamese press. CyLock removes those weaknesses entirely; being unhackable is a property of the product.

Testing the product to its limits is part of technical research and development. The tests showed that on a single battery the CyLock key can withstand more than 100,000 button presses — the equivalent of 30 years of use at ten presses a day.
