SEMINAR: WHAT DOES BLOCKCHAIN CONTRIBUTE TO THE SMART CITY?

It contributes to faster progress, and answers the question: "If a smart city lacks trustworthy technology, and trust itself is not protected, can it develop sustainably?"

On 18 August, at 79 Truong Dinh street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, the Centre for Information and Statistics of the city's Department of Science and Technology (cesti.gov.vn) held a seminar titled "What does blockchain contribute to the smart city?"

SO: WHAT DOES BLOCKCHAIN CONTRIBUTE TO THE SMART CITY?

According to the report by the Centre for Information and Statistics of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology (cesti.gov.vn), drawing on WIPS Global data, from 1976 to the present (6 July 2022) — and mainly since 2015 — there have been 36,000 patents using blockchain technology across 12 countries and two international organisations, WIPO and the EPO.

Those patents cover a very wide field of application, from network security to data security.

Among them are 222 WIPO patents — international patents. The inventor TuấnNK is honoured to have contributed an important part of that number, with iSeal, a blockchain chip seal that is completely counterfeit-proof and a distinctive application of blockchain to hardware security.

At the invitation of cesti.gov.vn, the inventor TuấnNK took part in the seminar and presented the invention "A method of detecting forgery by comparing the code in the blockchain with the recorded code on a seal carrying a memory chip, and a system applying it".

In the presentation TuấnNK also set out the technical challenges the development team had to overcome to bring the invention into practice, together with sample products handed to everyone at the seminar so they could try it for themselves: TrueOrigin origin authentication — an anti-counterfeit seal that cannot be forged.

Contributing to faster progress, and answering the question "If a smart city lacks trustworthy technology, and trust itself is not protected, can it develop sustainably?", the inventor TuấnNK is honoured to announce that the counterfeiting problem has been solved completely.
