TECHSHOW 2023 — bringing high-technology solutions to businesses

On 11 May, Hoa Lac High-Tech Park hosted an event connecting Vietnamese technology developers with investment funds and businesses. Many of the solutions drew strong interest because they touched on problems businesses struggle with in production.

Opening the event, Mr Nguyễn Đức Long, Director of the High-Tech Incubation and Training Centre (Hoa Lac High-Tech Park), said the event was intended to create a forum where the scientific and technical community could meet investors and businesses, opening opportunities for cooperation and commercialisation. The centre has run many such connection events on particular themes; this one focused on information technology for bioinformatics applications, robotics, security and 3D printing.

One solution that drew a great deal of interest was TrueOrigin™, the origin authentication solution from Onyx Vietnam Joint Stock Company, used to build anti-counterfeit seals.

At the event, several cosmetics and pharmaceutical companies said they worry about putting products on the market because anti-counterfeit seals get faked — even seals with a QR code are easy to fake. The developers of TrueOrigin™ said it is the first solution worldwide to offer absolute anti-counterfeit protection through an ordinary phone app, thanks to the new iSeal™ authentication technology: a dynamic digital signature that changes and is written back to the seal after every interaction, so the authentication system compares that dynamic signature and detects any forgery.
